We ended up here unexpectedly during the recent road closures / flooding and they were so kind to us. It was a time of chaos and they cared for us, going above and beyond to share food, accommodate our dog and make sure we were looked after. It is a peaceful place with a beautiful lookout walk and we look back on the time with fondness. Buy supplies on your way snd stay here for a few nights off the grid.
Great place to park your caravan. $25.00 per person, per night for a powered site is great value! Peaceful location to chill out!
However, the guest wifi was not good 😞 Watching videos kept freezing up, so I gave up, so I gave service 4 stars instead of 5! Apart from that, a very ejoyable and peacful stay!! Will definitly stay there again!! 👍😊
Stayed in cabin (shipping container) for one night stopover. Good little basic set up, can see how this place would have a great vibe in the cooler months. It was 39 degrees, so we mostly stayed inside in the cool aircon. Very comfortable bed with the softest sheets. Good ensuite, awkward with no toilet door though haha. Small bars of soap only provided. Clean. Fast WIFI. Only suggestions I would make is to update the website (for tourists like us haha) and state clearly that you need to bring all of your own supplies. We read google reviews about the bar and food trucks, which were not available. We aren’t in a caravan setup with refrigerator etc but luckily had enough to get us through. Also a basket or something to be able to carry dishes to camp kitchen for washing per instructions. It is expensive for what it is, but we were happy overall and would recommend.
Service was excellent when we arrived. Facilities was perfect and the camp kitchen was clean and big. We stayed in the new cabins. Place is clean and tidy. Will stay here again.. No fuel but That’s ok close enough to refuel at the roadhouses. |Has some history to show
We had planned to stay here after a recommendation on our travels through the NT. Unfortunately our plans had to change and we organised a cancellation within the T&Cs. 2 months on and we are still waiting for our refund. I continue to get excuse after excuse from the eftpos being down to our phone lines are down. I understand the park is literally in the middle of no where but this is beyond a joke. Yes it is only a small amount of money but if this is a regular occurrence for cancellations I would imagine the business has made a wonderful profit off people giving up trying.
Nice sites, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Convenient location if travelling down the Stuart highway. Very quiet in off season. Haven't been there in dry season.
We were recommended to stay here from family who had stayed at the caravan park previously. We booked a cabin for two adults and one 2 year old. The cabins are small, but I could see this on the website when booking, so we were expecting …
Mate was trying to find out if they had space to which an employee/groundskeeper replies "not for people like you" and proceeds to stare daggers. Mate recently died his hair blonde not sure if there's any correlation but the response seems indicative to judgement based on my mates appearence.
Not a very welcoming place. Do better.
